Hi, I’m Cecelia — though most people call me Cece (whichever you prefer!).

 

I’m a Lake County, California local, born in Petaluma and raised in Clearlake Oaks on my family’s ranch. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up around horses, dogs, cats, chickens, and many other animals, spending my childhood riding horses in gymkhanas, rodeos, parades, and trail rides.

 

My experience with animal care started long before creating my business. Over the years, I’ve worked in a veterinary clinic, with dog groomers, and alongside an animal rescue organization. In 2016, I began caring for animals for family friends and quickly discovered how much I loved providing dependable, compassionate care for pets of all kinds — including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, goats, horses, and more.

 

In 2019, I joined Rover and began expanding my client base through referrals and word of mouth. By 2022, I officially launched Cece’s Animal Care full-time, allowing me to grow my services across multiple counties and states.

 

I believe pet care is about more than feeding and walks — it’s about trust, comfort, and making sure both pets and owners feel at ease while apart. Leaving your animals with someone new can be stressful, which is why I strive to provide reliable communication, personalized care, and a clean, respectful environment in your home. I also offer in-person meet-and-greets and FaceTime calls so you and your pets can feel comfortable before services begin.

 

I also like to be transparent with my clients: I have a connective tissue condition called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), which can occasionally affect my mobility, particularly with long-distance walks or lifting heavier animals. While some days are more difficult than others, I always do my best to provide attentive, loving care and communicate openly if accommodations are ever needed.
